Hey, how you doin', New York?

Here we are, at "home" in New York! (actually, we were standing across the river in New Jersey for this picture)
And here's a picture for all the foreigners, such as Japanese, English, and Canadians:

And here's a picture of our apartment building:

No, I didn't make Jackie do all the work moving in! Pictures can be deceiving, though they are worth a thousand words!

We're settling in nicely to our new life...NY driving is aggressive yet manageable, the customer service is several (ok, many!) levels less than what we enjoyed in Japan, and our desktop computer just scrambled its own brain today. But on the other hand, we are surrounded by excellent diners, more culture and entertainment than we could ever absorb in two lifetimes, and I get to devote all my time to what I love: studying theology. I'll soon be very busy, translating Greek, keeping my French and German up to speed, learning Syriac and picking up Latin again, in addition to regular courses and other independent study. But I wouldn't have it any other way. I know, I've got problems.

More updates will come, as we do interesting things.

Thanks for reading!

Glad things are starting to settle down there in New York! Enjoy classes (somewhat of an oxymoron) and the great city. Can't wait to hear more!

Good stuff Bergstrom, getting down to some hard work with the books! That's what we like to see! Don't you know, hard work is ipmortant for us! I learnt that in Japan. Fantastic photos too!

Ipmortant? What's that? I think I meant something else!
